It was great to join the lovely Senior Yoga Teacher Dawn Wright and a group of other Yoga Alliance Professionals at Whitespace Yoga for an excellent YAPTA workshop on designing sequences for multi-level classes.
It was good to attend another thought-provoking workshop with Andrea
Kwiatkowski at Camyoga this week - and enjoy a tasty meal at the Stem & Glory vegan restaurant.
Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I went to Satyam Yoga in Cambridge for a wonderful workshop with Beverley Nolan 'The Walking Pelvis'. It's a part of her 'Embodied Anatomy' series. I'm really looking forward to the other two. We took a good look at the skeletal structure of the toes, foot, ankle, knee, hip and sacroiliac joints. We listened up for the way these joints move as we walk, and the patterns of weight distribution. I came away appreciating that all these joint movements are more nuanced than I'd realized. And I discovered that allowing greater freedom of movement in your pelvis can trigger an emotional response. More to explore!
